I am very excited to have the band invited to Vancouver this May 7th to 10th to perform alongside my good friend and musical partner Michael Coury!
Mike and I joined forces when I was living in Vancouver in the 1990s and performed in combos 'Le Chat Au Besoin' and 'BUNCO-The Single Malt Quartet' amongst other projects. Michael has been leading his 'Big Butter and Egg Band' in Vancouver for the last few years playing traditional style jazz and swing dance events.
I am joined by Jacqueline Chia on trombone, Ralph Pastore on banjo and Gram Whitty on bass; all members of The Don Valley Stompers.
We will be performing:
Friday May 6th at The Yard, 8482 Granville St, 9pm to 12am
Saturday May 7th at The Brighton, 2471 East Hastings, 9pm to 12am
Sunday May 8th at The White Rock Traditional Jazz Society RC Legion 240, 2643 128 St, Surry 2pm to 5pm
Afterparty will be held at The Fringe Cafe on Sunday evening.
