On September 1st I was hanging with my buddy Matt, drinking beer and playing some music when we heard word that Syd Calvert had passed away. He was 96. Four pints in we set about recording a few of the songs Syd used to perform on stage at The Rex at his regular Sunday gig with The Excelsior Jazz Band. Here is "The Curse of An Aching Heart" with Matt on guitar and myself on bass, vocals, clarinet and snare drum. I found photos all over facebook, used with no permission whatsoever. We love you Syd and Margot!
