FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 11th

DON VALLEY STOMPERS at DOOR FIFTY-FIVE
Chuck Clarke and Toby Hughes are joined by Jack King (bjo), Chris Adriaanse (bs) and Ian Boyes (drms) at the newly opened Door Fifty-Five (55 Lakeshore East, Mississauga) in Port Credit. Music starts at 7pm and runs until midnight. Room for dancing!

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 12th

THE UPTOWN STOMPERS at ALLEYCATZ

The Uptown Stompers [Tyler Norton (tpt), Jacquie Chia (tbn), Toby Hughes (reeds), Ralph Pastore (bjo), Gram Whitty (bs) and Paul Brady (drms)] bring music to Alleycatz (2409 Yonge Street, 2/1/2 blocks north of Eglinton, north of Broadway on the east side) this Saturday Sept 12th. Large dance floor, air conditioned, $5 cover, all ages.

UP JUMPED SWING at DOVERCOURT HOUSE

Up Jumped Swing [Chuck Clarke (tpt), Jacquie Chia (tbn), Toby Hughes (reeds), Jack King (bjo), Gram Whitty (bs) and very special guest Ian Boyes (drms)] play Saturday Night Swing at Dovercourt House (805 Dovercourt Rd., just north of Bloor). Swing dance lessons at 7pm, live music at 9:10pm.  Dance Party $13, $15 with one class, $18 with both. $3 off for full-time students. 

SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 13th

THE EXCELSIOR JAZZ BAND at THE REX

Syd Calvert's Excelsior Jazz Band has been playing Sunday afternoons from 12noon to 3pm at The Rex (194 Queen St W., at St. Patrick) for over 10 years now to packed crowds of traditional, dixieland and New Orleans style jazz. No cover charge but PWYC, all ages.

THE N.O. CONNECTION ALL STARS at GROSSMAN'S TAVERN

Chuck Clarke leads the band every Sunday afternoon at Grossman's Tavern (379 Spadina Ave., one block south of College) from 4:30pm to about 8:30pm. Always a good time, the band features many special guests each week. No cover but PWYC, all ages.

THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 17th

MIZ DEBBIE and THE XTRA-LITES at GROSSMAN'S TAVERN

Miz Debbie sings Gospel, R&B, Jazz and Blues at Grossman's Tavern with her hand picked band (Chuck Clarke, Toby Hughes, Gram Whitty, Charlie Trainer, Paul Brady). Be prepared for some risqué numbers and a rollicking good time! Music starts at 10pm, no cover (PWYC), 19+.

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 19th

BERTIE and THE GENTS at DOVERCOURT HOUSE

Roberta Hunt (piano, vocals) fronts this high energy dance band at Dovercourt House for Big Lindy Hop Saturday Dance hosted by Toronto Lindy Hop. $15 at the door, live music starts at 9:10pm.

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 25th

FRANKIE FOO and THE YOYO SMUGGLERS at GROSSMAN'S TAVERN
15 years in the making! Ska, rocksteady and R&B at Grossman's Home of the Blues the last Friday of the month. Always a dance party with a few love songs sprinkled in for good measure. Music starts at 10pm(ish) and runs until 2am. No cover, PWYC, 19+.
